When we founded WindStar Gardens in 2006, we had a vision to expand on the rich history of the property and
create a venue unlike any other. Since WWII, our property has been a working cotton farm owned and operated
by the Cook family. Fed by water from the Salt River canal, this land became fertile ground for crops.
In Peoria, hundreds of acres of land were nurtured and cultivated by the Cook family. For years Mr. Cook
would be seen taking off and landing his single engine airplane from the fields south of the reception hall.
Our 1930 cottage was home to the farm manager and his family. Summer fun for the kids was swimming in the
canal.
Today, we are very excited to be expanding from primarily wedding and receptions to holiday celebrations,
jazz festivals, wine tastings, corporate meetings, sports mixers and more. Our staff of hospitality
professionals will ensure your experience is unsurpassed. Thank you again for choosing WindStar Gardens
to celebrate, create and connect with your friends and family.
